This guide compares the air purifier brands you can buy in Nepal today: Blueair, Xiaomi (Mi), Philips, Samsung, Kent and Dyson. For each brand you get the models on sale in Nepali shops, the prices we found in October 2026, the clean air each machine delivers, and who looks after you once the filter needs changing.
We sell Blueair, so we say so up front. Every competitor figure below comes from the brand’s own spec page or a Nepali shop listing, and each source is listed at the end. Where a brand has its own full guide on this blog, the table links to it.

How to compare air purifier brands
The brand name tells you little about how clean your room will get. Five numbers and answers do. Ask for them before you pay, from any shop and for any brand.
- CADR against your room size. CADR (clean air delivery rate) is how much clean air the machine puts out each hour, in m³/h. A bigger number cleans the same room faster. Our CADR and room size guide shows how much your room needs.
- Power at top speed. A purifier works best running many hours a day, so the watts matter on your NEA bill.
- Noise at the speed you will sleep with. The lowest setting matters more than the highest one in a bedroom.
- Filter price and stock in Nepal. A filter full of dust slows the machine down. Ask the price of the next filter and who stocks it.
- Warranty and who honours it. Ask whether the warranty is handled in Nepal, by whom, and how long it lasts.
Our step-by-step guide on how to choose an air purifier covers each check in more detail.
Each brand in short
Xiaomi (Mi)
Xiaomi’s current model in Nepali shops is the Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite. Xiaomi rates it at 360 m³/h for rooms of 270 to 460 sq ft, using 33 W at top speed. It has app control and a PM2.5 display at a low price. The older Mi Air Purifier 3, launched in Nepal in 2021, is now hard to find. Read our Mi air purifier guide for filters and running costs.
Philips
Philips is a well-known Dutch appliance brand. Two models are listed in Nepal: the small Series 800 at Rs 28,699 (190 m³/h, 20 W) and the Series 2000 AC2887 at Rs 70,499 (333 m³/h). Other Philips models such as the AC3220 and AC4221 showed out of stock. The full Philips air purifier guide compares them with Blueair.
Samsung
Samsung’s AX60 was sold in Nepal at Rs 44,990. Samsung rates it at 467 m³/h for rooms up to 646 sq ft, with 60 W power and SmartThings app control. In October 2026 we found no Nepali shop listing it, so check stock and filter supply before you plan on one. More in our Samsung air purifier guide.
Kent
Kent is an Indian brand best known for water purifiers. CG Electronics launched Kent air purifiers in Nepal in March 2026. The Aura (183 m³/h, 270 sq ft, 45 W) and the Alps+ UV (400 m³/h, 430 sq ft, 70 W) are both in stock. Kent’s prices are low, but the Alps+ uses almost twice the power of a Blue 3610. See the Kent air purifier guide.
Dyson
Dyson makes purifying fans, and some models also heat. They are built for looks and extra functions, and they cost the most: from Rs 61,800 for the compact HushJet, Rs 67,600 to Rs 1,04,100 for a TP10 depending on the shop, and up to Rs 1,52,800 for a Big+Quiet BP04. Dyson does not publish a CADR for most of its purifiers, which makes them hard to compare. Read the Dyson air purifier guide.
Blueair
Blueair is a Swedish brand built around air purification, sold in more than 60 countries. Its designs have won the Red Dot and iF Design awards. Blueair’s HEPASilent filtration captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 micron, and its CADR figures are tested to AHAM standards. Prices in Nepal start at Rs 22,000, with a local warranty and genuine filters in stock at our store.

Same budget, different output
Here is what similar money buys from each brand. CADR is each brand’s own published particle or smoke figure; for Blueair we use the smoke figure, the hardest test. Brands test to different standards, so small gaps mean little, but big gaps show which machine moves more clean air.
| Model | Price seen in Nepal | CADR | Room size | Power at top speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blueair Blue 411 | Rs 22,000 | 180 m³/h (smoke) | 161 sq ft | 10 W |
| Xiaomi 4 Lite | Rs 22,999 | 360 m³/h | 270 to 460 sq ft | 33 W |
| Kent Aura | Rs 23,962 | 183 m³/h | 270 sq ft | 45 W |
| Philips Series 800 | Rs 28,699 | 190 m³/h | up to 527 sq ft | 20 W |
| Kent Alps+ UV | Rs 40,990 to Rs 44,990 | 400 m³/h | 430 sq ft | 70 W |
| Blueair Blue 3610 | Rs 50,000 | 600 m³/h (smoke) | 549 sq ft | 38 W |
| Blueair DustMagnet 5440i | Rs 60,000 | 391 m³/h (smoke) | 357 sq ft | 42 W |
| Philips Series 2000 (AC2887) | Rs 70,499 | 333 m³/h | up to 850 sq ft | about 60 W |
Two things stand out. At Rs 50,000 the Blue 3610 gives the most clean air in this list while using less power than the cheaper Kent Alps+. And the room sizes brands print vary a lot: Philips quotes up to 527 sq ft for a 190 m³/h machine, while Blueair sizes the Blue 411 for 161 sq ft so it cleans the room about five times an hour. Compare CADR, not the room size on the box.
What happens after you buy
An air purifier is only as good as its next filter. Most filters need changing every 6 to 12 months, and sooner in a dusty Kathmandu flat. This is where brands differ most in Nepal.
| Brand | Filters in Nepal | Warranty |
|---|---|---|
| Blueair | Genuine filters for every model we sell, in stock, with prices on our Blueair filter price list | 1 to 3 years by series, handled in Nepal by us |
| Xiaomi | Depends on the shop and the model | Ask the seller |
| Philips | Depends on the shop; check the exact filter code | 2 years official warranty on listed AC2887 units |
| Samsung | Genuine filters exist; Nepal stock not listed | Ask Samsung’s Nepal service centre |
| Kent | Ask CG Electronics; prices not listed | 12 months (CG Electronics) |
| Dyson | One shop lists a Big+Quiet filter; others not listed | Ask whether it came through Gennxt Nepal, the authorised importer |
Before you buy any brand, ask the shop for the filter’s price and part number and whether it is in stock today. If they cannot answer, the low machine price may cost you later. Our guide on how often to change Blueair filters shows the life and cost of each Blueair filter.
Why we chose to sell Blueair
We looked at these brands before choosing what to sell in Nepal. We chose Blueair for reasons you can check:
- It is a specialist. Air purification is Blueair’s main business. It started in Sweden and now sells in more than 60 countries.
- Tested clean air. CADR is tested to AHAM standards, and HEPASilent captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 micron.
- Low running cost. A Blue 411 costs about Rs 690 a month to run 8 hours a day, filter included. A Blue 3610 costs about Rs 2,170. The working is on our affordable air purifier page.
- Built to run all day. Blueair purifiers are made to run 24 hours a day for years.
- Service in Nepal. Local warranty, genuine filters in stock, WhatsApp help on 9801800596 and delivery across Nepal, from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Chitwan and Biratnagar.
Which brand suits which buyer
- Lowest price for a small room: Xiaomi 4 Lite or Kent Aura on price, Blue 411 if you also want the lowest power use and a local warranty.
- Living room or large bedroom: Blue 3610 gives the most clean air for the money in our table. Kent Alps+ is cheaper but uses more power.
- Dust that settles on everything: the DustMagnet 5440i, made for homes near roads and construction. See our air purifier for dust page.
- A fan or heater as well as a purifier: Dyson is the only brand here that does all three.
- Large rooms and germs: HealthProtect, with GermShield that kills viruses and bacteria caught on the filter.

FAQs
Which air purifier brand is best in Nepal?
The best brand is the one whose model gives your room enough CADR, has filters you can buy in Nepal and a warranty someone here will honour. On those three tests Blueair leads the brands sold in Nepal, which is why we sell it. See the full Blueair price list.
Why do brands print such different room sizes for similar machines?
Each brand picks how many times an hour the air should be cleaned. A brand that assumes fewer air changes can print a bigger room on the box. CADR in m³/h is the fairer number to compare.
Is Blueair a Swedish brand?
Yes. Blueair was founded and designed in Sweden and sells in more than 60 countries. Clean Air Nepal is an authorised Blueair dealer in Nepal, as our about us page explains.
Which brand costs least to run in Nepal?
Running cost is power plus filters. Blueair’s machines use the fewest watts in our table: 10 W for the Blue 411 and 38 W for the Blue 3610 at top speed. Our electricity cost guide shows the NEA bill for each.
Can I get a Xiaomi, Philips or Kent filter serviced by Clean Air Nepal?
No. We stock and service genuine Blueair purifiers and filters only. For other brands, ask the shop that sold the machine for the filter part number and stock.
