This guide covers the Philips air purifier in Nepal: the two models Nepali shops list today, their prices, how much clean air each delivers, what their filters cost you over time, and how they compare with a Blueair at the same budget. For every brand side by side, see our air purifier brands compared guide.
Philips is a Dutch appliance brand many families in Nepal already trust for kitchen and personal care products. Its air purifiers are well made. The questions to settle before you buy are which model fits your room, and who will supply its filters.
Philips air purifier price in Nepal
In October 2026 Nepali shops listed two Philips air purifiers in stock. Two larger models were listed but out of stock.
| Philips model | Price seen in Nepal | CADR | Room size (Philips) | Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Series 800 (AC0820) | Rs 28,699 | 190 m³/h | up to 527 sq ft (527 sq ft) | 20 W |
| Series 2000 (AC2887) | Rs 70,499 | 333 m³/h | up to 850 sq ft (850 sq ft) | about 56 to 60 W |
| Series 3200 (AC3220) | Rs 75,000, out of stock | Check stock before planning on it | ||
| AC4221 | Rs 85,000, out of stock | Check stock before planning on it | ||
The AC2887 was listed with a 2-year official warranty. For the Series 800, ask the seller which company handles the warranty in Nepal.
Which Philips model suits which room
Series 800 (AC0820). A small, light purifier for one room. At 190 m³/h it suits a bedroom or study. Philips prints “up to 527 sq ft” on the box, but that assumes the air is cleaned fewer than two times an hour. For a closed bedroom you want the air cleaned four to five times an hour, which points to a room of about 170 to 210 sq ft with an 8 ft ceiling.
Series 2000 (AC2887). A larger floor unit at 333 m³/h with a sensor and auto mode. It suits a big bedroom or a medium living room. Philips’ “up to 850 sq ft” figure works the same way: for four to five air changes an hour, plan on about 290 to 370 sq ft.
Room sizes on Philips and Blueair boxes are not worked out the same way, so compare CADR in m³/h. Our CADR and room size guide shows how to match CADR to your room.
How Philips air purifiers clean the air
A fan pulls room air through filters and returns cleaner air to the room. On the AC2887 there are three stages:
- a pre-filter that catches hair and large dust and can be vacuumed,
- a NanoProtect HEPA filter for fine dust, PM2.5, pollen and pet dander,
- an activated carbon filter that takes up some smells from cooking, smoke and traffic.
Higher models add a sensor and auto mode, which raise the fan when the reading climbs after cooking or sweeping. The sensor measures the air; it is the fan and filter that clean it.
Philips filters and what they cost you
The AC2887 uses two filters. Philips gives the HEPA filter (FY2422) a life of up to 24 months and the carbon filter (FY2420) up to 12 months. In a dusty Kathmandu home, with the purifier running many hours a day, expect less. The filter light tells you when each one is due.
We found no Nepali shop listing genuine Philips filters with a price in October 2026. Before you buy the purifier, ask the seller:
- the part numbers of the filters your model takes,
- their prices today,
- whether they are genuine Philips and in stock.
A copy filter may fit the slot but is not tested to the same standard, and a purifier with a filter you cannot buy soon becomes a fan.
What a Philips air purifier costs to run
The AC2887 draws about 56 to 60 W at top speed. Run 8 hours a day, that is about 14 units a month, or about Rs 135 at the NEA rate of Rs 9.50 a unit, before filters. The Series 800 at 20 W costs about Rs 45 a month in power.
Our air purifier electricity cost guide shows the working and the full monthly cost of each Blueair model, filter included.
Philips for dust, allergies and smoke
A Philips purifier with a HEPA filter catches the fine dust and PM2.5 that hang in Kathmandu air, plus pollen and pet dander. The carbon filter helps with cooking smells and smoke odour. As with any brand, it only cleans the air that passes through it, so keep windows closed while it runs and wipe settled dust from floors and shelves. For homes near busy roads, see our air purifier for dust page.
Air purifiers do not treat allergies or asthma. They lower what you breathe in at home. Our guide to air purifiers for asthma, allergies and sleep explains what to expect.

For a small bedroom, the Blue 411 gives about the same clean air as the Series 800 for Rs 6,699 less, at half the power, and its filter is in stock in Nepal. For a living room, the Blue 3610 costs Rs 20,499 less than the AC2887 and puts out nearly twice the clean air while drawing less power. The AC2887’s longer warranty and longer-lasting HEPA filter are its strong points.
Both Blueair models use HEPASilent filtration, which captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 micron. Blueair is a Swedish brand sold in more than 60 countries, and its designs have won Red Dot and iF Design awards. We deliver across Nepal and answer questions on WhatsApp after you buy.
Which to choose
- Small bedroom: Blue 411 for the price, power use and local filter supply. Philips Series 800 if you prefer the brand and the seller confirms filters.
- Living room: Blue 3610 for the most clean air per rupee. Philips AC2887 if a 2-year warranty and fewer filter changes matter more to you than output.
- Large room or germs worry you: the Blueair HealthProtect series, with GermShield that kills viruses and bacteria caught on the filter.

FAQs
What is the Philips air purifier price in Nepal?
In October 2026 the Philips Series 800 (AC0820) was listed at Rs 28,699 and the Series 2000 (AC2887) at Rs 70,499. The AC3220 (Rs 75,000) and AC4221 (Rs 85,000) were listed out of stock.
Which Philips filter does the AC2887 take?
Two filters: the FY2422 NanoProtect HEPA filter, which Philips rates for up to 24 months, and the FY2420 carbon filter, rated for up to 12 months. Ask your seller for Nepal price and stock.
Why does the Philips box show a bigger room than Blueair for a similar CADR?
Philips’ room figure assumes fewer air changes an hour. Blueair sizes its rooms so the air is cleaned about five times an hour, which suits bedrooms and allergy sufferers. Compare CADR to see the real output.
Is a Philips air purifier good for a bedroom in Nepal?
The Series 800 suits a bedroom of about 170 to 210 sq ft, run on a low speed at night. Make sure you can buy its filter in Nepal. For a quiet bedroom choice with a local filter supply, see our air purifier for bedroom page.
Can Clean Air Nepal service a Philips air purifier?
No. We sell and service genuine Blueair purifiers and filters only. For a Philips repair or filter, contact the shop that sold it or the Philips distributor in Nepal.
