The price on the box is only the start. Every month you also pay for the filter and for electricity. Here is the full running cost of our three affordable models, worked out from Blueair's published watts, our own filter prices and 8 hours of use a day.
Filter: Rs 4,000 every 6 months = Rs 667 a month.
Electricity: 10 W × 8 hours × 30 days = 2.4 units × Rs 9.50 = Rs 23 a month.
Total running cost: about Rs 690 a month.

Filter: Rs 12,500 every 6 months = Rs 2,083 a month.

Total running cost: about Rs 2,170 a month.

The filter is more than 93% of the running cost. The watts above are each model's highest setting, so real electricity use is lower. NEA charges Rs 9.50 a unit for monthly household use between 51 and 250 units, the same on 5, 15, 30 and 60 ampere lines. Homes above 250 units pay Rs 11.00. See the NEA tariff table, and our electricity cost guide for more models and the formula.
A lower price only saves money if the purifier does its job and you can keep it running. This is what you get with a genuine Blueair from us.
A purifier is only as good as its filter. We keep genuine filters for all three models in stock and deliver them across Nepal. See the air purifier filters page for prices.
Every size on this page is in sq ft, from Blueair's specification: 161, 388 and 549 sq ft. Pick the one that covers your room and it will do the job.
The Blue Series carries a 1 year warranty. If something goes wrong, you talk to our team here, not an overseas call centre.
HEPASilent filtration captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 micron, and airflow (CADR) is tested to AHAM standards.
The cheapest purifier is the one that fits your room and runs on its own. These four habits keep the bill down.
