Solid steel body

Every Classic has a galvanized steel housing instead of plastic. It is heavy, stable and made to run day and night for years. When it finally retires, the whole unit can be recycled.

Sensors that read your air

The 280i, 480i and 680i have built-in sensors for PM2.5, VOCs (gases from cooking, paint and cleaning products), temperature and humidity. Auto mode raises the fan when pollution rises and slows it when the air is clean. Learn what the PM2.5 and VOC readings mean.

The most clean air per hour

The Classic 680i delivers 850 m³/h of clean air, the highest CADR of any air purifier in our store. CADR is tested to the AHAM standard, so the number is measured, not guessed.

Classic Series replacement filters

Classic filters come in two types. The Particle filter catches dust, PM2.5, pollen, pet dander and mould spores. The SmokeStop filter does all of that and adds activated carbon for smoke, VOCs and cooking smells. Change the filter about every 6 months; the filter light on the unit and the app tell you when. We keep genuine Classic filters in stock for every model.

What is the difference between the Classic 405 and Classic 480i?

What do the sensors on the Classic 280i, 480i and 680i measure?

Fine particles (PM2.5) such as dust and smoke, VOCs (gases from cooking, paint and cleaning products), temperature and humidity. The light on the unit shows blue when the air is good and orange when pollution rises. The Blueair app shows the full readings.

Can I control a Classic air purifier from my phone?

Yes. Every Classic model connects to a 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network and works with the Blueair app. From the app you can change the speed, set a timer, use night mode and child lock, and check filter life.
