Quick answer

The Samsung air purifier sold in Nepal is the AX60 (AX60T5080WD): 467 m³/h, 60 W, SmartThings app, last listed at Rs 44,990. In October 2026 no Nepali shop listed it, so check stock, warranty and the CFX-D100 filter before you plan on one.

Key points
  • Samsung AX60: 467 m³/h, 60 W, best for a room of about 410 to 510 sq ft at four to five air changes an hour.
  • Samsung Plaza Nepal listed it at Rs 44,990; in October 2026 the listing showed not available.
  • Its filter set is the CFX-D100/GB; we found no Nepal price for it.

This guide covers the Samsung air purifier in Nepal: which model has been sold here, what it offers, whether you can still buy it and its filter, and how it compares with a Blueair. For every brand side by side, see our air purifier brands compared guide.

Samsung is a name most Nepali homes already know from phones, TVs and fridges, and it has service centres across Nepal. Its air purifiers are strong machines. The catch in 2026 is availability: check that both the purifier and its filter are on sale before you decide.

Which Samsung air purifier is sold in Nepal?

The Samsung model sold in Nepal is the AX60 (AX60T5080WD). Samsung Plaza Nepal listed it at Rs 44,990. In October 2026 that listing showed “Product not available”, Indian retailers list the model as discontinued, and we found no other Nepali shop selling it. If a shop offers you one, ask whether it is new stock and how long the warranty runs.

An older model, the AX40 (AX40K3020WU), was sold in Nepal some years ago at about Rs 19,500 to Rs 22,990. It is no longer listed. Samsung’s newer BESPOKE Cube purifiers are sold in other countries but not, as far as we could find, in Nepal.

What size of room the Samsung AX60 suits

At 467 m³/h the AX60 is a capable machine. Samsung rates it for rooms up to 646 sq ft, which works out at about three air changes an hour in a room with an 8 ft ceiling. For a bedroom or a living room where you want the air cleaned four to five times an hour, plan on about 410 to 510 sq ft. That still covers most Nepali living rooms.

Rooms facing a dusty road, rooms with high ceilings, and rooms where windows are often open need more output than the floor area suggests. Our CADR and room size guide shows the sums.

How Samsung’s filters work

The AX60 uses three layers. The washable pre-filter catches hair and coarse dust; rinse it every few weeks in Kathmandu. The carbon filter takes up some smells from cooking and smoke. The HEPA ultrafine dust filter catches fine dust, PM2.5, pollen and smoke particles.

Its 3-Way Air Flow blows clean air out of the top and both sides, so it reaches more of a large room. The laser sensor reads particle levels and auto mode raises the fan when they climb. The sensor only measures; the fan and filter do the cleaning. For how HEPA, carbon and other filter types differ, see our guide to air purifier types.

Samsung air purifier filters in Nepal

Samsung specifies the CFX-D100/GB filter set for the AX60. We found no Nepali shop listing it with a price in October 2026. With the purifier itself no longer listed, the filter supply is the first thing to check: a purifier whose filter you cannot buy loses most of its value after the first year.

Ask Samsung’s Nepal service centre or the seller for the CFX-D100 price and stock before you buy a unit. If you already own an AX60, ask now and keep a spare filter at home.

What a Samsung AX60 costs to run

At 60 W, run 8 hours a day, the AX60 uses about 14 units a month, or about Rs 137 at the NEA rate of Rs 9.50 a unit, before filters. That is more than a Blue 3610, which draws 38 W at top speed for more clean air. Our air purifier electricity cost guide has the full working.

Samsung for Kathmandu dust and PM2.5

The AX60’s HEPA filter catches the fine dust and PM2.5 that make Kathmandu air hazy in winter. The World Health Organization’s guideline for PM2.5 is 15 µg/m³ over 24 hours; on 14 April 2024 IQAir data put Kathmandu at 175 µg/m³, more than ten times that, so a purifier sized for the room makes a real difference indoors. Keep windows closed while it runs and wipe settled dust from floors and shelves, since a purifier only cleans air that passes through it. For road and construction dust, see our air purifier for dust page.

The Samsung’s strong points are its app and particle readings. The Blue 3610 delivers more clean air, uses less power and is on sale now with its filter in stock. If you want an app, the DustMagnet 5440i has one, along with a 2-year warranty handled here in Nepal.

Blueair is a Swedish brand sold in more than 60 countries. Its HEPASilent filtration captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 micron, and its CADR figures are tested to AHAM standards. We deliver across Nepal, from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Biratnagar, and answer questions on WhatsApp after you buy.

FAQs

Can I still buy a Samsung air purifier in Nepal?

The AX60 was listed at Rs 44,990 by Samsung Plaza Nepal, but in October 2026 the listing showed not available and we found no other Nepali shop with stock. Ask Samsung Nepal or your local electronics shop before you plan on one.

Which filter does the Samsung AX60 use?

Samsung specifies the CFX-D100/GB filter set for the AX60T5080WD. Its pre-filter is washable; the carbon and HEPA filters need replacing when the filter alert comes on.

Does Samsung SmartThings work with the AX60 in Nepal?

Yes. The AX60 has built-in Wi-Fi and works with the SmartThings app, which shows air quality, changes modes and sends filter alerts. It needs your home Wi-Fi.
